Invention - Soak Oil Spill

Dear Reader,

The York Daily Record reports of a construction worker's quick thinking that prevented diesel fuel and hydraulic oil, from an overturned truck, from contaminating a nearby river. His solution: use dirt from the construction site as a dam.

The driver, Tim Fake, has been admitted to the hospital for observation after complaining of back pain.

I think that using dirt to contain oil spills from dirtying rivers is a very good idea. Compare, for example, the following invention:

  • Mr. Charles Vinsonhaler's "Oil Spill Cleanup and Recovery System"

  • German company eco.carbon's Super Sponge Mats
